The Calgary Okinawan Club was founded in 1982 and initially consisted of 12 Okinawan immigrants and their young families. Today, our club has over 80 members, including original founders, their growing families, and recent Okinawan immigrants. We organize social events where Okinawans in Calgary can gather and celebrate their heritage. Our mission is to pass on Okinawan traditions and culture to future generations, fostering a stronger connection to their roots.​
